The idea behind Green Local Portals is to create multiple instances of ConcordConserves.org for other towns establishing a network of environmental information for central and eastern Massachusetts. For example, a new instance of the website could be easily launched for a town such as Chelmsford i.e. ChelmsfordConserves.org. This would reduce the time and cost Chelmsford would need to launch their own website as well as be a more efficient communications system. Features and content can also be customized based on each individual town's needs.
